Product Description

a Prevent and Treat Allergic Microbes Lactobacillus Rhamnosusa Prevent and Treat Allergic Microbes Lactobacillus Rhamnosus   Introduction
Lactobacillus
 rhamnosus
has been found in many niches, including human intestine, vagina, mouth and dairy products. To intensively investigate the genomic diversity of this species, draft genomes of 70 L. rhamnosus strains isolated from different subjects were sequenced and further investigated. The pan-genome of L. rhamnosus was open. And gene-trait matching (GTM) was done to explore the carbohydrate utilization ability and antibiotic resistance, and to establish a pattern of gene existence/absence and growth/absence. There were no significant correlations between genetic diversity of the strains and the age or region of the donors. The current results extend the understanding of L. rhamnosus, which could be used as a reference for subsequent research as well as mining and application of the species.
    L. rhamnosus is a Gram-positive bacterium that exists in a variety of niches, such as the human intestine and vagina (Pascual et al., 2008). L. rhamnosus GG is one of the best commercialized strain among L. rhamnosus. It has a strong resistance to gastrointestinal digestion and potential probiotic characteristics. Previous studies on L. rhamnosus focused on its functional benefits including various diarrhea treatments, immunity improvement, and respiratory infections prevention (Barbieri et al., 2017; Evans et al., 2016). Phenotype studies were carried out, such as acid tolerance, bile salt tolerance, carbohydrate utilization and adherence to epithelial cells (Ceapa et al., 2016, 2015; Succi et al., 2005; Tripathi et al., 2013).
Lactobacillus rhamnosus (L. rhamnosus) is a probiotic that has shown potential in preventing and treating allergic reactions:
  • Food allergies
L. rhamnosus GG (LGG) may help prevent food allergies, particularly cow's milk allergies, in infants. LGG may also help with allergic asthma caused by birch pollen.
  • Intestinal microbiota
L. rhamnosus may help regulate the intestinal microbiota, which can influence the immune system and tolerance to allergens.
  • Allergic response
L. rhamnosus may reduce the impact of allergic responses by downregulating the expression of IgE and histamine H4 receptors, and by enhancing mast-cell immune activity.
  • Immune homeostasis
L. rhamnosus may help improve intestinal homeostasis, which may alleviate allergies.
L. rhamnosus is also used to treat diarrhea from antibiotics, eczema, hay fever, stomach pain, and canker sores. However, there is little scientific evidence to support its use for many of these conditions.
Prone to allergies and allergic reactions (atopic disease). Taking L. rhamnosus GG by mouth during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or giving it to the infant, seems to prevent some allergic conditions, such as asthma, runny nose, and eczema, in infants.

Storage
The recommended storage temperature for Lactobacillus rhamnosus (LR) depends on whether it is active or inactive, and the form it is in:
  • Active (freeze-dried): Store at 0°F (-18°C)
  • Inactive (spray-dried): Store at room temperature
The survivability of LR decreases with increasing storage temperature and time. For example, in one study, LR inoculated peanut butter and stored at 37°C could not maintain the 6-log level for more than 6 weeks. In another study, the inactivation rate of LR was about four times faster at higher storage temperatures.
LR is a friendly bacteria that is used in dietary supplements and functional foods. It is associated with boosting the immune system.
